Not a doughnut fan, so passed this place on my way to work many times. Happened not to be able to eat my breakfast at home today and had some extra time, so I went in. The place is small, quaint, clean and had some awesome (who I assume) regulars sitting on comfy, but worn bar stools at the bar counter. They were very chatty among themselves and knew staff by their names. I was greeted with a smile and the service was great. I ordered egg and ham bagel breakfast sandwich to go and a small iced coffee. The place doesn't have decaf iced coffees (I realize I'm loosing credibility here lol), so I took the regular and hoped it didn't kill me. It was yummy. The main reason for the 3 stars is the egg on my bagel. The bagel was delicious and so is ham, cheese, and egg, BUT my egg looked gray... Look at the pic. I'll gladly add another star if someone could explain why that happened. After I bit into the sandwich I didn't know if it was safe to continue... I ended up tossing the egg part.

Found this place in Yelp while visiting the Beaches. Drove 20 minutes from condo because we are donut fans. Worth the trip! Tasty, great variety, delicious bagel Sammie too! Check it out!

(Disclaimer: I'm already a BIG fan of Fray's Donuts) This Fray's contains the similar charm and delicious donuts and drink of its sister stores. SERVICE The drive-thru takes total priority so walk-ups sometimes get the slower end of the stick. Either way, employees are always very caring and ask lots of questions to make sure you get what you want. FOOD Even the plain, glazed donuts melt in your mouth. Seriously light and fluffy. Not too many coffee choices here, but what they have begs to be complimented by a donut: either that, or the layers of donuts and patries modeling behind the counter is crying out. ATMOSPHERE The kitchen here is WAY more visible than other locations-- this can be good (It feels more like eating homemade food from someone's kitchen) or bad (my morning zombie-ness is somewhat distracted by the not-comforting site of kitchen utensils. Boooo, why does this place seem to close earlier than other Fray's? I have to fulfill my craving NOW!

Fray's is kind of small but has the feel of a neighborhood diner. They have an amazing selection of fresh donuts. It was slightly overwhelming. I purchased a couple dozen to take to work & asked the donut goddess, behind the counter, to decide on a random dozen. She did NOT steer me wrong. I'm a cake donut fanatic, but there was a chocolate coconut donut that made me rethink everything I know. Good grief, it was good. Luckily for my waistline, Fray's isn't convenient to me. However, if I find myself in the neighborhood, I'll definitely make a point to stop in again.

This a pleasant little Gem. The coffee is good and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. The hours are short, but if you can make the trip when they are open it is worth it.
